Jasmine Rochelle Goodspeed is a Massachusetts based actor/singer/director. A graduate of Umass Amherst, and having spent some time at AMDA NY, she is known for her activism around Native issues and her passion for Musical Theatre. Jasmine and her partner held charge of a Shakespeare company: Billy Shakes Free Shakespeare(in collaboration with the Knighten Guild Inc.) wherein she has produced and directed shows for the past 7 years. She has also aided in the creation of the Native Youth Empowerment Foundation in Massachusetts, and the Ohketeau Cultural Center in Ashfield, MA. She was also a featured artist as both an actor and director in the NYC Safe Harbors Native Directors showcase(2020). 
 
 In addition to this, Jasmine has written, produced, and acted in a musical about her tribe, the Nipmuc people of Massachusetts. This musical was titled 1675, and told the story of King Philips War and the Tragedy of Deer Island back in the early days of colonization. This musical was performed at Umass Amherst to sold out crowds. During the pandemic she has been part of the team that is writing: Avatar The Last Musical(An Airbender Parody) a musical idea that was started on Tiktok back in June! 
 
As an actress, she has performed in several shows, most recently(prepandemic) including a collaboration with Double Edge Theatre for both Leonora’s World(2019) and the touring production of Leonora and Aljehandro(2020) on tour. Since the pandemic she has begun working closely with Safe Harbors NYC on remote shows. Some past roles of hers also include Winnifred(Once Upon a Mattress), Louisa(The Fantastiks), Eliza(My Fair Lady), and Belle(Beauty and the Beast).
